Inheritance and Will

Many people wish to make a difference and hold charity as an important value in their lives. Terre des Hommes Denmark has found that people often leave part of their inheritance to help children in need, providing them with resources for a better life and future.
In Denmark, if you have not written a will and have no heirs, your entire estate will go to the state treasury.

If you choose instead to bequeath some or all of your estate to Terre des Hommes Denmark, your inheritance will have a significant impact on children in need for many years to come.

Free Will
If you intend to include Terre des Hommes Denmark in your will, we have partnered with Legal Desk, a “do-it-yourself” platform that helps you with legal documents. Here, you can donate an optional amount to our cause and receive a free will in return.

With Legal Desk, you answer questions and receive guidance through their platform. During the process, you will be asked if you want to donate to a good cause, and you should select us as the beneficiary, which will make the will free of charge. Once you finish answering the questions, you will receive the will immediately.

Once you have created the will, it must be signed in front of a notary or two witnesses. You can also support us and leave more to your heirs with the 30% solution.

*For your information, creating a will through a lawyer costs approximately 5000 DKK.
